It's a place to read stories that arrive a bit at a time, like a TV series told in words. Every couple of weeks a new part of the story lands. You can read it, listen to it, or watch short film clips built into it. You don't just finish a book and put it down — you keep coming back as the story grows.

An issue is one instalment of the story — like one episode of a series. Each one stands on its own.

A new issue lands twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th.

It's the thing that makes us different. At the end of each issue, the story reaches a turning point and asks you to choose: Twist, or Burn. Your choice decides how that part of the story ends, and where it goes next.

At the very end of the issue, once you've read the whole thing — not in the middle, and not chapter by chapter. You read it all, then you choose.

No. Once you pick Twist or Burn, it's final. That's the point — the choice is yours, and the story remembers it.

Your choice opens up the next part of the story for you. Over time, the choices you make shape the version of the world you're reading.

Yes. On Insider, you get one save slot — your run through the story, with the choices you've made. You can always restart and make different choices to see how the story changes. On Keeper, you get up to three save slots, so you can keep several versions of the story running side by side — a Twist path and a Burn path, for example — without overwriting each other.

They're three ways to enjoy the same issue. Read is the story as words on screen, on a calm, dark page that's easy on the eyes. Listen is the story read aloud, like an audiobook — good for walking, driving, or resting your eyes. Watch is short film clips that play at key moments to bring those scenes to life — highlights woven into the story, not the whole issue filmed.

Yes. Keeper members can save an issue and take it with them to read or listen to even with no signal — handy for trains, flights, or anywhere the internet drops out. Offline saving is a Keeper feature, and watching the film clips always needs an internet connection.

Yes, but a free one is all you need to start. A free account lets you read Chapter One of every issue and saves your place — no card required. To read past Chapter One, finish the full issue and make your Twist or Burn choice, you'll need a paid subscription (Insider or Keeper).

Founding readers are the people who joined right at the start, around launch. As a thank you, they lock in a lower price that stays the same for as long as they keep their membership going.

If you're a founding reader, no. Your founding rate is locked for as long as your membership stays active — that's our promise to the people who joined first. For everyone else: if our standard prices ever change, we'll always email you first, well before it affects you.

The extra features unlock straight away. For the rest of your current month, we only charge the difference between the two prices. From your next renewal, you pay the full Keeper price.

You keep Keeper until the end of the month you've already paid for. At your next renewal you move to Insider and pay the lower price. You lose nothing in between.

Your founding rate follows you down, but not up. If you move from Keeper to Insider, the £2 off comes with you — Insider is £7.99 a month instead of £9.99. If you upgrade, you pay the standard price for the higher tier. And the rate only holds while your membership is active: if you cancel, it ends for good, and resubscribing later is at our standard prices.

You keep full access to your tier until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your membership moves to a free account, so you'll still have Chapter One of every issue and your saved place. You won't be charged again, and you can resubscribe any time you like.

Yes, any time — just resubscribe in your account. One thing to know if you're a founding reader: your founding rate holds only while your membership stays active. If you cancel, the founding rate ends, and resubscribing later will be at our standard prices.

Cancelling just stops your payments — your account stays, drops to free, and you can come back any time. Deleting your account is permanent: it removes your account and personal details for good, and you'd need to start fresh if you ever returned.

You can delete your account yourself any time, in your account settings in the members' portal. We'll erase your personal data. The only thing we keep is the basic record of any payments you've made, which the law requires us to hold for a set period for tax and accounting. We don't keep anything else, and we never keep it for marketing.

Once you've subscribed, we don't offer refunds. But you can cancel any time, and you'll keep full access to your tier until the end of the period you've already paid for — so you never lose what you've paid for.
